The Game (2024)

This is the re-edited colour version of my short film The Game shot on video camera in 1995 when I was a student. It’s a crime thriller about some thieves hiding out at an old abandoned house where they plan to split some stolen cash.

The Game

This is the HD version uploaded to Rumble (4.46GB). Its on Youtube but is blocked for copywrite in some territories for the Miles Davis sections. It’s also on Brighteon in HD.

The Game Trailer (2025)

I made a Trailer for The Game in Jan 2025 before uploading it film in HD. I used the Teaser I made as a template for the edit. I completely re-made it and combined it with an AI generated voice-over I’d previously made. It’s in 1080p HD, and is up on Youtube (blocked for copywrite), Brighteon and Bitchute. This is the one from Rumble.

Re-edit & Production Info

The original version was edited in black & white and uploaded straight from a poor quality video tape so I wanted to do a re-edit with the best sound and picture quality plus improve on the storytelling with tighter editing and make the plot twist more coherent. The new version is 4 minutes longer than the original with several new or extended sequences. You can watch the original black & white version of The Game here.

The film was made separately from the media course I was on using the colleges’ video equipment and was filmed in two days with two days rehearsal. Kev, Nick and James were my house mates on the course (and had never acted before) and Ste helped me edit the original version and did production. The main house was private property so all the interior footage was shot inside our student building which was on the grounds of Bryn Estyn where they walk off at the end.

Poster

Here’s the new poster I made for The Game with some symbolism and a tribute to Taxi Driver (who’s gun FX I used in the film).
